The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) runs Whipsnade and London Zoo. We have joined their Community Access Scheme which means tickets for our clients are only £6 (plus free companion ticket).
For a limited time, Headway Luton will be offering the tickets completely free thanks to a grant from the Co-op Community Fund to be spent on day trips. When this fund is used up then you can buy tickets from us for £6. Normal ticket prices to go to the can be around £30, so this is a magnificent saving.
Speaking about the scheme, ZSL say:
“We want as many people as possible to enjoy a brilliant day out with us, benefit from seeing the amazing animals who live at our Zoos and help us create a world where wildlife thrives. To help people who might find cost or other challenges a barrier to visiting the Zoo, our Community Access Scheme (CAS) provides reduced-price tickets.”
Clients who come to our day centre or those who are on our Community Support Service list can get their free tickets by contacting Annika. She needs to know:
- Your name
- The date you want to go to the zoo
- Which zoo you want to go to (Whipsnade or London)
She will also need an email address to send your e-tickets to (although can print for clients where needed).
Email her on: annika.coughlin@headwayluton.com or phone 01582 800241
This offer is available all year round. After your visit, please do fill out a survey for the Zoo about your trip. Community Access Scheme survey.
