This poem is quite melancholy. It represents the memory loss and internal struggles Barnie has experienced after his brain injury.
Text reads:
My memory will never be the same
Often I just walk for hours
Visiting church I pray for guidance
I go to Headway. These are my friends
Nothing will ever be the same
Getting on with it is all I can do
One day in the next life I hope to be free of this
Now I just keep walking.
